THE CELEBRATION OF LIFE PLANNER
A step-by-step guide and checklist for the people organizing it. The six-week timeline, a roles sheet so nobody carries it alone, a run sheet for the day, a program template, host scripts, a budget sheet, and a page for the people who can’t be in the room.
Thirteen pages, built to print. Download it, hand pages to whoever is helping, and tick things off with a pen.
PDF, 1.1 MB, US Letter. Free to share with anyone helping you plan. If you’d rather read first, see how families use HONORPIX for a celebration of life.
WHAT'S INSIDE
Thirteen pages that do the organizing for you
Nothing in it is compulsory. A celebration of life is shaped around the person, not around a form. Work through it in order or jump to the page you need.
- Start here: what a celebration of life is and isn't, and permission to make it small, late or unconventional
- The six-week timeline, from setting the date to the week after
- Who does what: a roles sheet with space to write names
- The shape of the day: a run sheet template with timings
- Program template, ready to fill in
- Gathering the photos and stories from everyone, including people who can't attend
- Playing the slideshow: venue tech checklist
- What to say: short scripts for the welcome, introductions, a toast and a closing
- For the people who can't be there
- After the day: downloads, thank-yous, the first anniversary
- Budget sheet
Page 7 points to a free HONORPIX gallery. Here is what it includes.
The planner’s one recommendation is to start collecting photos early, in one place, from everyone. HONORPIX is that place, and the free gallery is enough to run a celebration of life with: send the invitations, print the QR code, play the slideshow on the day, download it afterwards. No credit card to begin.
DIGITAL INVITATIONS & RSVP
Send the celebration details and the gallery link in one message, and know who is coming before the day. Included free.
EDITABLE CANVA TEMPLATES
Programs, welcome signs, bookmarks and thank-you cards, ready for your QR code and your photos. Edit them in Canva in minutes. Included free.
DOWNLOADABLE VIDEO SLIDESHOW
Builds itself from the gallery and plays on any TV, projector or laptop. Download the video afterwards to keep. Included free.
QR CODE
Print it on the program, a welcome sign or a table card. One scan opens the gallery, from the room or from the other side of the world.
